Theme Interpretation: I wanted to do something more abstract in regards to failure in terms of approaching it comedically, rather than seriously. Tearlaments is an archetype within Yu-Gi-Oh! that, put shortly, is a deck that likes to be milled as it has effects that trigger in the graveyard. The cards were limited & banned a couple months ago, and I wanted something that represents the gambling and hype nature of the cards -- only to ultimately fail, not get anything and lose the game.
