about

Song written by Aletris Pinkroot

Theme Interpretation: the song is from the perspective of an Alzheimer's patient, their memories being corrupted. I also use 'goodhertz lossy' on many of the instruments in the song, which simulates the kind of lossy audio you get from crappy mp3s and such, which has a very corrupt sound.

lyrics

don’t look at me
i’m not fighting anymore,
i cant remember when i saw you last,

am i afraid?
or am i just overwhelmed?
all these people i cannot recall,
sorry, have i met them at all

i can’t close my eyes,
cause if i forget you,
what am i supposed to do?

don’t look at me
i won’t recognise your eyes,
nor will i the timbre of your voice,

please, just go away
you know it can not phase me
honey, it’s just weeks before I die,
i’d count the days, if i even could

i can’t close my eyes,
cause if i forget you,
what am i supposed to do?

i can’t close my eyes,
cause if i forget you,
what am i supposed to do?

if i forget you,
what am i supposed to do?
