Theme Interpretation: I already had in mind, if possible, to use my cello for this challenge. With that in mind, musical and percussive motifs fitting survival environments started coming to mind, particularly with the idea of a jungle. Survival in the sense of enduring the environment, but also in continuing to move, and so I wanted to convey a sense of motion, not necessarily rapid, but persistent, purposeful. Beyond that, I just let things flow through the instrument.
