Theme Interpretation: When I think about technology, I think about how fragile data is, and how easily information and machines can degrade and be lost forever. Dropping a machine in water is pretty much guaranteed to ruin most old-school electronics, and I just couldn't get the image of a song or an SOS signal, lost in the waves, out of my head.

So I applied that idea -- a song or a signal that is distorted or destroyed due to damage -- and put that into how I approached the song.
