Theme Interpretation: I love the book "Neuromancer" by William Gibson. He invented idea of plugging your brain directly into a shared virtual experience, which is kind of frightening and compelling at the same time. "Technology" to me means gritty, day-to-day hardware and software that we take for granted, and Gibson's book is full of that. "Neurocase" is how I imagine the soundtrack for parts of that novel.

The sky above the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel.

The matrix has its roots in primitive video games, in early graphics programs and military experimentation with cranial jacks.

And in the bloodlit dark behind his eyes, silver phosphenes boiling in from the edge of space, hypnagogic images jerking past like film compiled from random frames. Symbols, figures, faces, a blurred, fragmented mandala of visual information.
