Theme Interpretation: The challenge at first gave me some ideas of what to do musically. Inspired by Metroid Prime: Corruption, I tried to make something that was deep, had a catchy beat, and created some dark atmosphere.

Later, I had the idea while programming the piece to create loops that would then be corrupted by a function, simply named CORRUPT. CORRUPT is called throughout the programming score of the piece to then modify some global variables, adding ""corrupted"" notes to the piano and pad, and shuffling the piano's sequence. This creates the form for the piece.

This was my first time using Ardour as my rack of instruments and effects, hosting and mixing my instruments being sequenced using cm-incudine with Common Lisp. The programming was written using emacs :) with slime, allowing amazing integration with Common Lisp. Big kudos to all of the people who developed these amazing tools and a huge thank you to the Jack Audio Server development team.
