Theme Interpretation: I went from "Jade" to "jaded" and "mechanism" to "machine". That brought up the image of an android being forced to serve people for decades and how fed up with the whole thing they might be. Somehow the idea of a 24-hour diner came into the picture. Obviously heavily influenced by Devo, one of my favorite bands from my youth.

I serve the kind of food that mother never makes at home
to folks who can’t sleep at night

Fifty years of bore-dom

At two fifteen the junkie comes in for his cup of joe.
He’s gonna OD by June
Drunk college freshmen leave the restroom like a sewage hole
Their tragic lives can’t end too soon.
